Rehabilitation and education will always be the cornerstone of every project we undertake at Wildlife Images. We have made, and are still making, vast improvements in our facility. But to accomplish this dream, we need the right supplies and equipment.
With ongoing support from local veterinarians, contributions towards clinical development, and donations of supplies and equipment, we will be able to assist more and more wildlife in need. With the support of public and private contributions, as well as support from the community, Wildlife Images continues to develop new ways to educate the public on the importance and the joy of being a steward of wildlife.
|
| | | The proposed design of the Bear Habitat and Educational Center will allow for visitors to observe the wildlife with very little impact on the animals. |
There are several new developments that are in the planning stage at Wildlife Images: an Avian Conservation Facility, our new Wildlife Hospital and Educational Center, a Small Mammal Habitat and Observation Facility, and a new Bear Habitat and Educational Center. |
| | | The Avian Conservation Facility will house our rare and Endangered Breeding Program and will incorporate state-of-the-art technological advances such as web cams to allow unobtrusive study of uncommon birds. |
We are also continuing to enhance ways to inspire and involve the public both here and through our outreach programs. We are producing an “elderhostel-type” series for retired folks, developing a self-guided facility tour plan, designing new educational materials for schools and students, as well an outreach program aimed at the corporate sector. |
| | | The Small Mammal Habitat and Observation Facility is already in the first phase of construction but still has a ways to go. |
We rely on support from the public to survive. This will always be a sustaining force; however, long term funding is a goal we hope to reach in the future.
Wildlife Images endowment will be a key element in sustaining our operations for many years to come. Once this source reaches a certain amount, the interest will be used as a stable source of income. However, this fund still requires growth. Through contributions, as well as granted money, we hope to see this funding grow and become available for use in the near future.
There are many ways to contribute to this fund. Cash and credit card donations are always welcome, as well as donations of stock or other investments. The Wildlife Images Heritage Society has been established, as a way to name Wildlife Images in your trust or estate.
