If you’ve ever caught one of WLI’s many parade appearances, odds are you’ve met Defiance. He lives in the Bird of Prey (BOP) Barn along with the other birds that are glove trained (unlike the birds in Eagle Flight). His sociable temperament has made him our default eagle ambassador for most outreach events. He even filmed a cell phone ad for Radio Shack in Los Angeles in 2008. He considers himself a star and so do we.

We Need Your Help

With over 80 animal ambassadors, and over 1,000 sick injured and orphaned animals brought to our center each year - every dollar counts. We rely solely on people like yourself to support the work we do.

We receive no State or Federal funding and depend entirely on private funds to carry out our Mission.
