At Wildlife Images we work hard to educate our community. We believe we are commissioned to not only help our local wildlife but to also help the public understand the vital role wild animals play in our ecosystem and how we as humans can coexist with, and even support our wild neighbors.
An annual Outreach Program our staff eagerly looks forward to is when we pack up our Animal Ambassadors and head to Mountain Meadows. Each year, staff jostle for a position to join the residents at this active retirement community nestled in such a beautiful part of southern Oregon.
It’s one of our great joys to see faces light up and hands raised with questions as Beauty, our rare red tail hawk, is walked around the room or best buds Inti and Neville sniff at people’s feet. This year, crowd pleaser Nubs was greeted with squeals of delight when he made the rounds and then roaring laughter a few minutes later as nature called for our North American badger. Luckily for Nubs, and our Animal Care Team, our guests were unfazed and after a quick clean up everyone settled back in as Nubs continued to soak in all the admiration from his adoring fans.
One of the wonderful things about our friends at Mountain Meadows is they not only support us each year through booking an Outreach Program but they also as a community adopt one of our Animal Ambassadors. It was a special treat to walk down the hall where each animal’s adoption papers and photograph are framed and displayed with pride. We are grateful for their continued support year after year!
