Golden Eagle Release

This stunning release of the Golden Eagle named Beamer (named after Todd Beamer, a hero from September 11th, 2001) was released back into the wild on September 13, 2013. Beamer was brought to Wildlife Images in June with a “failure to thrive” diagnosis that took many months of patience from the animal care staff at Wildlife Images as they helped him learn how to hunt, fly, and feed for himself. Beamer took flight from Woodrat Mountain outside of Jacksonville Oregon best known for it’s exquisite launching for hang gliders and paragliders. Wildlife Images Executive Director, Dave Siddon, stood on the edge of the mountain and let Beamer go. A small crowd of on-lookers were there to celebrate the moment.
