Come immerse yourself in a night of Japanese Culture & Comedy benefiting Wildlife Images!
Worldwide performer Kimie Oshima will keep you laughing with her traditional Japanese storytelling and comedy, Rakugo 落語. Performed in English, this is an incredible opportunity to learn about another culture while enjoying a night for the whole family. Plus, meet Wildlife Images Animal Ambassadors up close and personal!
RAKUGO – 落語 is an ancient Art of Storytelling!
Listen as characters and places come to life through humor as Kimie Oshima shares some of the 200 stories in her repertoire. To become a Rakugo performer one must study for up to eight years with a master of this unique art form. There are only 600 performers in Japan, just 8 of those perform Rakugo in English. It’s a great honor to have Oshima, who has performed in countless countries and is a visiting scholar, donate her services to Wildlife Images to support the important work done at the Rehabilitation and Education Center.
