Our annual Saving Wildlife Banquet and Auction is just a week away and we are so excited for this incredible event! A photograph of the last male northern white rhino to ever live and an incredible osprey pendent are just two of the items on the auction block. This is our largest fundraising event of the year and we have so many generous donors, sponsors, and volunteers who help us pull it all off. We wanted to highlight a couple people who have used their artistic talents to help us on our mission of Saving Wildlife!
Robert Irwin, son of Steve (Crocodile Hunter) & Terri (Roseburg native) Irwin, generously donated this photo of Sudan for the live auction. Sudan was the last surviving male northern white rhino. He passed away this year. There are now only two female northern white rhinos left. Robert took the photo two years ago in Kenya. Robert also contributed a second print for auction as well! You have the opportunity to take one of these incredible canvas prints home during the event!
We also had one of our favorite local artists contribute again! Nick King is a long time supporter of our mission and stunned us with this beautiful necklace! It is valued at $1,175 and designed exclusively for us by Nick King of King Jewelers. It is a stunning 14 karat osprey pendant over a sterling silver river of multi colored sapphire, all under a citrine sun. Someone will take this home after winning our Heads & Tails game during the auction!
We are so grateful for all the support for this event and our mission of Saving Wildlife. If you are interested in taking these beautiful pieces home or one of our other 75+ live & silent auction items get your tickets for the Saving Wildlife Banquet & Auction on July 14th!
