These dedicated individuals work tirelessly to help us provide exceptional animal care, enrichment, and engaging educational opportunities. We offer our sincere gratitude and admiration for our volunteers here at the center. These remarkable people with generous and dedicated hearts share their time, hard work, and expertise in so many aspects to make this center great. Not only are they tremendous animal advocates, they are full of great ideas and continue to share their thoughts with one another and the Wildlife Images staff, contributing in any way possible to ensure that our native wildlife and fellow humans will have a safe place to come together to learn and understand the importance of taking care of the gifts we have been given.
What are my commitments as a volunteer?
Time – We ask that you are able to dedicate 4 hours per week to a volunteer shift
Fun – A major requirement of your time is to enjoy it and have fun as part of the team in a fun, safe, inclusive and respectful workplace.
Share the Message – You are a vital part of the mission of SAVING WILDLIFE – spreading the word promotes the longevity and reach of our efforts.
Tour guide & Docent –
Love chatting with people, sharing stories and educating people about the amazing creatures that call Wildlife Images home? This position may be the one for you! Tour guides lead gentle walking tours of the facility, and docents work at stations where they work with ambassadors, biofacts, and other hands-on items to present information to the public on campus as well as on outreach programs.
Animal Care –
Assist staff caring for permanent resident animals. This includes diet prep, cleaning, enrichment and special animal projects. These duties are divided into two areas – work with our resident raptors, help us care for mammals, or take a special interest in our scaled and slithery animal ambassadors.
Maintenance & Construction –
Help us keep up our facilities, construct new animal enclosures and enhancements on campus.
Love to garden? We have a beautiful 26-acre campus that needs many helping hands!
