It is almost baby bird season in southern Oregon. Before 100’s of tiny… and hungry baby birds arrive we are getting our nursery ready! With a good cleaning, a fresh coat of paint and some new enclosures we will be able to help baby birds more efficiently. Jack, a resident stellar jay, joins Dave as an example of a bird who received care but could not be released into the wild. Jack is blind in one eye so he wouldn’t be able to see predators coming. Now, he helps us teach people about the danger house cats pose to birds, especially this time of year.
